  Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is a 227-bed facility designed and equipped to provide medical services to a primary and secondary area of nine counties with 220,000 residents. The state of the art facility also provides a 24-hour emergency room. Seven clinics, 72 physicians and 22 dentists serve the county.    
 Taxes    
  Somerset, Pulaski County and Kentucky have very modest property tax rates. An occupational tax of 1% funds many of the progressive economic support programs initiated by the county.
