Electricity
  Kentucky Utilities Company serves Somerset, Burnside and parts of Pulaski County. The remainder of Pulaski County is served by South Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation, and power is sourced from East Kentucky Power. Both Kentucky Utilities and South Kentucky RECC provide power at rates among the least expensive in the U.S.   
 
 Natural Gas
  Somerset is served by Somerset Gas Service. Source of gas supply is the Texas Eastern Transmission Corporation and gas wells owned by City of Somerset.  
 
 Water

The City of Somerset Water Service serves Somerset with a 6 million gallon per day treatment capacity. Its source is Lake Cumberland. Storage capacity is 4.5 million gallons. An upgrade of storage facilities and expansion of water treatment plant are currently under way. The City of Somerset Water Service has a 7.5 million gallon per day treatment capacity.

 
 Sewer

The Somerset Sewer Department, with a design capacity of 3 million gallons per day, serves Somerset. A trunk line rehabilitation program is currently under way. Somerset is now 99% sewer served and service is available in all growth areas of Pulaski County.
